Hey ya'll! How's your day been going? I hope it is great so far! Today is Friday, March 16th and I am in Nashville, Tennessee with my amazing media classmates and we had our second day of competition! Although I didn't compete, I went to some breakout sessions with Abby, Kai, Evan, Natalie, Halea, Janine, Ty, And Jasmine. My favorite breakout session was about comedy and how to make videos funny. The whole presentation was hilarious and that is why it is my favorite. We also attended a special breakout session called "Keynote, by Boyd Huppert" We also went to the mall for dinner and I ate some Burger King. After dinner, we went to excellence awards and watched the winning videos. We cheered for all of the winners (mostly Hawaii.) Some of the videos scared me and will give me nightmares. When that was over, we came back to the hotel and wrote our cards and showered, and got ready for bed. Today was so fun, and I bet tomorrow will be better. This is Haley Arakaki signing out. BYEEE!!!
What's poppin my friends? This is Haley Arakaki here to tell you about my fourth day here in Nashville, Tennessee. So first, we woke up and ate breakfast and got ready to go to CRAZY 8'S! ! ! ! !
Crazy 8's was so crazy, (as it says in the name.) Everybody was so stressed out because of the crazy 8's rush. the topic of our story is "Rock This Town". The News Magazine team that I was on found stories easily . . . except for my partner and I. Every single number that we called, didn't answer! 3 of the numbers we called actually did answer but they all hung up while I was talking to them! Then, we finally got a story. We filmed ant interviewed Uber drivers because their job rocks this town. I recorded voice overs while Evan edited the video. At the end, the CKTV News Magazine team made the deadline and so did the CKTV Film team!
After the whole Crazy 8's competition was over, we walked back to our hotel rooms to get our present for our friends from Castaic. With our present, we walked down to a spot in the Opryland hotel and exchanged gifts with our pen pals. When we were done with that, we went back to the hotel rooms to put our present away and then walked to the mall for dinner. At the mall, we ate dinner with our Castaic friends at the food court. From there, we walked to the Opening Ceremony for STN.
At the opening ceremony, we listened to some speakers talk about STN related topics and stories. They also talked about awards and other things. When that was over, we walked back to the hotel room and wrote cards, showered and got ready for sleep. Well, that was my day and I hope your day was amazing too! Byeee!
Good evening people who are reading this! I am Haley Arakaki from the CKTV media class and we are in Nashville, Tennessee. Today, we woke up and got ready for our day, then we went into another room to get breakfast. When we were done with breakfast, we walked down to the lobby and waited for the rest of the media class. From there, we got picked up and drove to the country music hall of fame. We then got picked up by a bus and they drove us to Studio B. At Studio B, it was a recording studio for famous singers like Elvis Presley, and many more. I played piano in the recording studio! After we stopped at Studio B, we were picked up by the bus and drove to the Country Music Hall Of Fame Gift Shop. Over there, I bought some souvenirs for my fam and myself. Then, we walked around downtown Nashville. We went to some shops like a candy store, a thrift store, and boot store. We also walked across a bridge the TENNESSEE TITANS STADIUM! ! ! We went to the Tennessee Titans Gift Shop and I got my Mom some souvenirs because the Titans are one of her favorite teams........EVER! ! ! We also took a tour of the stadium and saw all of the behind the scene stuff. We even wen't to their locker room! The whole experience was a blast and my favorite part so far! Then, we walked back across the bridge and walked to the Wild Horse Saloon. We ate dinner, and we danced to country music and line dancing! Our whole media class were trendsetters! We all knew all of the dances to all of the songs and all of the high school students were trying to copy us! I feel like our media class got closer with each other and bonded a little more here and there. Tomorrow is Crazy 8's competition and I am pretty sure that our whole class is nervous........but I know we will do great! Goodbye.
What's up friends?!?! Again, this is Haley Arakaki from the CKTV media class in Nashville, Tennessee and it is our second day here on our 2 week trip. First, we woke up and got ready for our day and walked down to the elevator. As a class, we walked to Cracker Barrel for breakfast. I ate a panckake from the kids menu, and a side of bacon. After breakfast, we walked to the Opryland Hotel Lobby which is the hotel that we are staying at. We then got picked up by some vans to go to the Country Music Hall Of Fame. Over there, we were split up in to 2 groups and we got toured around the exhibits and all the other things in the museum. From there, we walked across the street to the Bridgestone Arena to take a tour of the stadium. All of the Kauai schools were there and we saw some cool behind the scene stuff. For lunch, we walked to a pizza restraunt named Desano. I can't remember what pizza I had because it was in Italian. After we finished with lunch, we walked back to the Bridgestone Arena and browsed in the gift shop. Then, we walked up the stairs and into the arena and it was HUGE!!! It was so enormous, there must have been 1,000,000+ seats in there. Then, We got picked up by those vans again. and they dropped us off at the hotel. We got lost trying to find our room but we finally made it. At the room, we got ready for bed and then we wrote our cards, ant slept. Woah, that was fun.
Hey what's up people! This is Haley Arakaki and I am with the CKTV media class and we are on our way to Nashville. First, the CKTV Media Productions class got dropped off by their parents at the Lihue airport and caught a flight to San Fransisco, California. The flight had a lot of turbulence but I managed to get about 2 hours of sleep. Our layover was very long and not so busy. During the layover, I ate at Burger King for breakfast. Next, we flew to Nashville, Tennessee. The, we went to the baggage claim and picked up our luggages. From there, we got shuttled to our hotel. The moment I walked in......I could hear angels singing.......you know, like how it is in the movies! We all walked to our rooms and the whole garden was so pretty, there were fountains of water and so much beautiful flowers. My roomates and I put our bags down and headed out the door to the mall next door. I ate at Pyramid Cafe and I ate chicken and fries. When we were all done eating, we walked back to our hotel, got ready for bed, and wrote our cards. We all went to bed at about 11:30. Today was very busy and fun. Stay tuned for tomorrow's blog, and from the CKTV media class, this has been Haley Arakaki reporting.
